City Hall and Springer Market Square will be lit up green for Green Shirt Day and Be a Donor Month. Green Shirt Day acknowledges the Humbolt Bus Crash in 2018, and the passing of Logan Boulet, who saved six lives through organ donation after his passing. The news of his gift of life inspired 100,00 Canadians to register to become organ and/or tissue donors, the largest number in Canadian history to register their consent. The Transplant Advocate Association continues to support this important day by working to create awareness throughout Kingston and surrounding communities, and by offering support to transplant recipients, donors, caregivers and their families .
